Reminiscent of when cell phones were chunky affairs residing in a briefcase in the trunk of the car, the DirecTV Sat-Go is the worlds first portable satellite TV system. Why watch TV on your cell phone when you can bring a 17 inch LCD, DirecTV receiver, antenna and rechargeable battery in an easily portable system to the park or your next camping trip. A bit of TV overkill for us, but if you would rather spend your time watching TV in the park rather than reading a book then this is right up your alley.

The cost is a bit prohibitive; but I actually think it'll be perfect for some of our parents who are perhaps not as computer-literate... We already have DirecTV at home; but rather than buying my mom a laptop and having to show her how to use a Slingbox and how to navigate around the PC, this would let her catch her shows easily.

... I forgot to add, as long as the unit itself is easy to use.
