We discovered these Dirt Candles on the Monarch's Heaven website today. Judging from their online popularity and widespread Chicago presence, we're probably a bit behind on this all-natural product made from organically grown soybeans, essential oils, and recycled paper and glass. Dirt Candles come in various scents and amusing names such as Catch 22, Old School, Love Machine, and Bah Humbug. Most importantly, a portion of the profits from each candle go to various charitable organizations. A long list of shops in and around Chicago carry Dirt Candes (wish we had a list like this for every product we featured!): Abbott House; 405 Central Ave., Highland Park Addendum; 3343 N Broadway, Chicago Alikat; 464 Stage Coach Court, Glen Ellyn Amazing Space; 1105 Chicago Ave., Oak Park Artquest; 770 Sheridan Road, Highwood Bloom3; 1503 Chicago Ave, Evanston Enjoy; 4727 North Lincoln Ave., Chicago Gethsemane Garden Center; 5801 N Clark St, Chicago KOPI; 5317 N Clark, Chicago Monarch's Heaven; 3326 N Lincoln, Chicago Raffia; 29 S Prospect, Park Ridge ROCS - Adams; 222 West Adams St., Chicago ROCS - Broadway; 3636 N Broadway, Chicago ROCS - Lasalle; 231 S.
