The Colo Sink and Dishwasher concept combines a deeper-than usual sink with a hood with water jets: "The colo-concept breaks with the handling-habits of an old-fashioned dishwasher. it's a reduction of the machine to its essentials. 'colo' merges the dishwasher with the sink. at this, handling-complexity is also reduced to a minimum. there is no need to sort in the dishes piece for piece, simply place the tray with all of it in the sink, and simply put the tray back on the wall when it's done."
The Wachs concept is an interesting one — it's basic premise of combining the sink and dishwasher into a single unit is a good one. (though I am lost on the idea of storing the dishes in the rack on a wall or in a cabinet — not practical!) The concept reminded me of these small countertop dishwashers I spotted at Yodoboshi Camera in Tokyo:
Now, there needs to be a dishwasher sink combo that is much more straightforward than the Colo — would you agree? Would you use it?
