This photo, spotted on House to Home, is a well-executed example of a great idea. The designer hung a black and white rug as a focal point on the wall, then framed it using molding painted the same color as the walls. We like the idea so much, we went searching for ways to recreate this look...

I love it. Does anyone know were i can find the mirrored bowl and vase? -thank you
This is a great idea for an echo-y room. The fabric panels on the walls help to muffle and moderate the sound. This would be nice in a den, tv room, wood staircase or hallway... or any room in which a child will be learning to play recorder.
I love the rug on the floor! Any ideas as to the source?
the black and white framed rug is amazing! does anyone know where I can find it or one similar?
Yes - Where is that rug from!? I've been looking for it, and would LOVE to know!
Found it - The carpet looks like a Madeline Weinrib Design
