If it looks vaguely familiar, it's because the gorgeous store — all whitewashed walls and colorful merchandise — was, until recently, in Silver Lake. They've moved and set up shop on West Third Street near the Beverly Center.
Along with the aforementioned suzanis and kilim pillows, there are floor pillows made from Kurdish grain sacks. The talented shopwner, Arzu Benavides, has expanded her designing talents to include hand-embroidered cityscape pillows.
Add jewelry, bright caftans and robes to match their plush Turkish towels, and a visit to the store can momentarily quench a thirst for travel and adventure. Toss in four parking spaces in the back, and there's no excuse not to visit.

I wish I didn't live so distant! :)
This reminds me, does anybody know a good place to sell a suzani throw? My grandma gave me hers and told me to sell it for tuition money but I have no idea where to start.
You can sell SUZANIS on eBay, but most are worth very little. They are marked up 10X in the US. If yours is actually 100+years and wonderful, see if Christies or Soethbys will sell it. Otherwise, try a local decorating shop, if it is in excellent condition, but keep expectations modest.
Its not correct to say most Suzani's are worth very little. It's all relative to the material and workmanship and as you said age. Most of the cheaper suzanis you see on E Bay are machine sewn reproductions-the REAL ones take many months of hand work and when you find a great one are quite valuable and in fact a great investment as it is a dying art...
