"Divided" drawers by Front

Get the balance right. The all-girl Swedish designers that make up Front, have created this chest of drawers called "Divided." It reminds me of that magic trick where the assistant is put in the box, dividers are put in, and then the magician starts sliding the boxes and the assistant is still able to move. However, in this case, as I guess is the same with the magician's trick, it's all an illusion.

The drawers are not magically balanced, but rather, they are really mounted to the wall. This also allows the configuration to be customized. This design is part of a collection Front calls "Found", which takes existing "ordinary objects", takes them apart, and re-configures them. Unfortunately, we haven't found a retailer in the states, but according to the website, price is by request. We're thinking this could be a fun DIY, perhaps customizing some longer wall cubes/shelves and adding drawer fronts? ...hm... weekend project anyone? (via Wallpaper Magazine) Additional links: Look!
