There is nothing like a great DIY advent calendar to get you in the holiday spirit. Who doesn't love chocolate at 8:00 am? Whether you are three or ninety-three, starting the day with a surprise treat just sounds like a good idea.
I love this Falling Stars advent calendar from Design*Sponge made from a pine bough, postal paper, twine and markers. A cozy and cheerful holiday decor item that just keeps on giving. (Well, for twenty-four days, anyway.) A daily delight for kids of all sizes and ages.

This is cute and a great idea. I've looked at buying one and they are so expensive for what you get, but this is beautiful and inexpensive! Thanks for the idea.
LOVE the look! But making your own advent calendar and filling it with chocolate yourself is less fun than the surprise of opening a purchased one.
I don't do advent, but (minus the numbers) I love this just as a decoration!
