A few weeks back we posted about our friend Gerald's replica DIY arcade cabinet, created for his PS3/Xbox360 gaming needs in his garage-studio. He just shot us an IM about the updated and painted cabinet he's currently wiring up right now. Check out the progress below the jump...
Gerald messaged us that he's still working on hooking up the USB panels and he's quite pleased with the paint job (he calls it his Darth Vader helmet). Above is the cabinet upon return from the painters...parts of it are still drying as we type.
Installed the monitors, usb/xbox mem card panel and speakers. Placed the vshg on the panel to mark where the screw holes need to be drilled. Started the wiring for the amps and the speakers.
Speakers are being driven by two alpine car amps and a PC power supply. The front panel on the 1 player side has a switch to turn this on or off as well as select between audio inputs and voulme control.
A quick test to make sure the video and audio is working properly, checking the component video splitter, subwoofer, power stirp and the front panel audio controls.
