As usual, MS.com has a slide show of really diverse ideas for Father's Day gifts. We really liked a couple of the art projects that double as modern works for your home. Above is a travel collage with memorabilia like large ticket stubs.
This is a great project, not only for Father's Day, but just for a piece of art in the home, or to commemorate an achievement. We love the idea of taking small, special items like a ticket stub or restaurant card, blowing them up, and putting them in a grid format like this. Very inexpensive, yet very personal. The detailed instructions are here.

Another great idea- this fan-style family tree. You can find a template for it and blow it up to the size you like at Martha's site along with the how-to details.

Hi,
I was just wondering how you acquired that larger photo of the fan chart. I'm on a mission to find out more about that chart, and hopefully some better images of its details, so that I can make one of my own exactly like it. I found the article myself a few weeks back, and it only offers 2 small photos of that particular one. Yours was the biggest, closer photo that I've been able to find (via google).
I posted a thread with my complete inquiry and all the info I have on it so far, at the MarthaStewart.com Discussion Boards... http://boards.marthastewart.com/topic/148684
Please check it out and see if you might be able to help at all. :)
Thank you so much for your time and consideration, and I'd love to hear back from you soon.
Happy Spring!
