Seeking out an interesting, narrow-enough, and affordable runner for his apartment's hallway, stylist PJ Mehaffey concluded that making something himself was the answer. He traded a beige placeholder rug for one he made by sewed together three patterned, cotton bath mats.
By taking a seam ripper to edges of the West Elm's Zig Zag Bath Mat and then carefully sewing the middle portions together, PJ came up with a runner that fit his style requirements and his budget.
