We can't read a stitch of the blog Hyggelig but we love what we see, especially this fun little bench seat.

It looks like it was made by repurposing an older piece of furniture. But we think the same thing can be easily achieved by the following:
* 2 IKEA Fira mini chests
* 2 pieces of IKEA Langan countertops
* Some extra wood pieces for added support
Add a cushion and comfortable pillows for instant child-proportioned seating.

i sort of love this
This is genius!
Amazing! Does anyone know where the fabric with the pink flowers is from?
hi everybody, thanks you for featuring my bench!
actually you are right, the two elements are exactly the Ikea mini chests, which I painted in shades of red (the back of the drawers are painted white, so we can change them by time).
I just added two pieces of plywood at the bottom and the top, and two pieces on the side, glued it alle together, sanded the corners and finished the rest of the wood with oil.
@kitjule: the fabric with the pink flowers I got in a german online store (http://www.frautulpe.de), I think it was a japanese fabric from a collection 2007 but they don't seem to sell it anymore.
