A few years back my son and I were taking a walk when we came across a panicked mother and her young daughter who had a somewhat worrying wound on her leg. As we approached them, along with a few other onlookers, the mother looked up to me, in a sort of desperation, pleading "You're a mom, you must have some bandaids!". Well, I didn't and I felt like I had let the whole institution of motherhood down in that moment; like I had to hand in my card or something. Since that day, even though my kid is not a knee-scraper type, I carry a variety of bandages with me at all times, in a cruddy, warn out sandwich bag, if you must know. Well, it might be time to spruce up my stash a bit.
An Altoids tin, some Mod Podge, and a free printable. You get the idea. It all comes together in a cute miniature first aid package, which would also make a thoughtful gift. Pay Kelly at Running with Glitter a visit for everything you need. Note that her instructions are easily adaptable if you want to make it for someone who is, say, not the "pink bow" type.
