"When we moved back to the US mainland, I promised my daughters that we would build a new cardboard dollhouse (their original was left on the island when we moved). So here is our dollhouse.
The girls picked the paint color, did 90% of the interior decorating and dressed the wooden doll family. All of the interior is stuff from around the house (scrap fabric and scrapbook paper wall treatments and drapery, popsicle stick hardwood floors and lots of Pottery Barn and Ikea catalog cutouts for the "fancy" furniture that we couldn't make).
I did all of the cardboard construction (box cutter, packing tape and Elmer's glue) and roofing (black sandpaper and construction paper shingles).
The lovely wooden family are from Hobby Lobby (they were all really short compared to the furniture in the house, so we glue some of them to cylindrical blocks that were in the kids' block bin and just happened to be the same diameter). The clothes are scraps of fabric that the girls glued on."
Thanks for sharing Adrienne.
