The New Year is all about getting organized and making sure the house is in tip top shape! You have to make sure you pay attention to even the smallest of details. Including, where to hang that hat after a long day of work.
A coat rack is one of the simplest ways to store and manage coats, keys, bags and hats we wear on a daily basis. Of course there are a plethora of them available in just about any home store — but why not save a few bucks in the New Year and make your own?
Shanty 2 Chic did just that and it turned out pretty great! Pick up a scrap piece of wood from your local hardware store, a can of spray paint and a few hooks. You'll have this DIY coat rack finished in a matter of minutes!
Check out how it was done at Shanty 2 Chic!

White Enamel Flatwa...
I feel so on the ball, lol. I did the same thing a few months ago except mine is black and I don't have the neat vase. Cost about $5 and very practical!
We made our own coat hook rack to get the size and look we wanted, but unless you get your hooks for free, it really costs about the same as buying a ready-made hook rack.
Not necessarily. I made one almost just like that one (the same hooks but with four hooks and no vase) and it was $1 (maybe a couple cents less or more) per hook, about 90 cents for the board (and you could use scrap if you had it), and I had the paint and screws laying around. If you used fancy hooks, then it would get expensive quite fast.
looks so great, such fancy hooks!
