Artist Jen French, whose incredible gothic bungalow we toured a few weeks ago, came up with this super simple, yet fantastic-looking idea for an entryway coat rack by screwing some vintage hooks into a branch that she found in the yard.

It fits in perfectly with the aesthetics of her house (see the full tour here), which is artful and nature-inspired with hints of darkness and whimsy. Visit Jen’s Etsy shop to see her gorgeous paintings, prints and sculptures.

Shaw's Original Fir...
that is beautiful.
Great idea! I'm not a fan of the gothic stuff but I do love this concept.
great idea. we have just moved to a seaside city, so i can hut for lovely driftwood and copy this idea!
um...that's huNt, not hut. i am dead set against hutting as it's cruel and inhumane. huNting's okay though.
lovely...and lends itself to all sorts of interpretations.
think of all the kinds of coat hooks, branches, and if desired, finishes, that are possible with this.
