Erin's not the first parent to say a silent prayer of thanks when a family restaurant brings out the crayons and coloring placemats. It can make waiting for food to arrive a more enjoyable experience for your kids and you (not to mention the people in the neighboring booth). So she decided to replicate the idea at home and made this clever, re-usable placemat for about $2.
We love the roadway Erin drew which can be colored on or used for driving little cars around and we can think of lots of other ideas for motifs our own son would like. For older children, how about drawing faux lined paper to practice writing?
