I ran across this great eco-friendly project that is so simple and fun; it lends itself to so many possibilities that I just had to share...
Over at Design Mom they made this fantastic step-by-step tutorial on DIY: Monogram Mugs. You start with a trip to your favorite thrift shop and choose a group of mix and match mugs. Sounds good already, huh? Then create a font stencil, trace it on your mug and simply go over it with a porcelain pen. After it dries for 24 hours you bake the mugs at 300 degrees for 35 minutes and voilà! You have new customized, upcycled mugs!
Now don't just get stuck on monograms, get creative; use stencil drawings, silhouettes, words, or just freehand it. They would be great around the house, as a gift or even as a DIY party. The possibilities are inspiring!
