We love it when we find new ways to use stuff we've already got around the house. In this case some left over fabric and a brick helps the door from going bang bang bang.
Reader paper pie posted this great diy on the LA flickr pool. Reusing bricks and some fun fabric she made herself a new doorstop. We've been looking for ways to use up the small pieces of fabric we have left over from projects and love the idea of making doorstops, paper weights and (soon enough) wrapped presents. Check out how to make your own fabric designs with markers and some of our favorite fabric on etsy
What do you do with fabric scraps? Have you made a mundane object a little bit more stylish?

Oh man, crazy to see an idea my Mom had for our rooms growing up on here. Her fabric wasn't as cool, though...
