While we're waiting for spring to come around, here's a beautiful project from Green Wedding Shoes to get you thinking green!
This rustic candelabra (which also works as a centerpiece if you've no place to hang it) features driftwood and succulents artfully arranged with a few candles. I especially like the idea of turning a piece of driftwood into a planter just by drilling some holes for your succulents.

We're not worried about the lawn catching on fire?
Like the product but not hanging from rope, it would be much better on the table.
My first thought was "The rope is going to burn." Then I looked closer at the photo and saw scorch marks on the right side rope. I have a wooden whale candle holder. the candle has burned down and started to burn the wooden whale. Wood isn't really the best idea when it comes to candles, unless there is some metal in-between the candle and the wood.
Love the scorch marks on the rope and the potential for hot wax to drip all over the succulents. Brillant.
Maybe temporary for an event, but this is one of those 'piece of natured turned household' that looks plain silly. Plants; nice, candles; yuck.
Thanks for the feature! We did experience some melting of the candles and the challenge of keeping them lit when things were windy. We'd recommend replacing with flameless candles and/or something in a votive. Just drill larger holes or use glue to hold in place.
Sounds like the concerns aren't with the idea, but the execution. A different kind of candle would solve all of the commenter concerns!
There are plenty of tea light and votive candles with metal separators, and these won't drip wax onto succulents or burn the rope.
Sheesh. One TINY change. When did everyone on this site start complaining so much?
