Have you seen the project floating around the internet where you take crayons, put them on canvas, and melt them with a hair dryer to see them streak down the surface? (If you haven't seen this yet, take a look!) Here's a DIY art project that puts a twist on this concept — and no hair dryers needed!
Derona from Design Gratis needed a big piece of art to hang over her TV, but she was stuck in limbo as she couldn't find anything she loved within her price range. Inspiration struck, and she took a project that she admired (but was reluctant to attempt) and changed a few of the ingredients — namely, nixed the crayons for watercolors!

She sketched out a brief plan, and set to work dripping her drops. The result: a unique (and inexpensive!) piece to add to her collection.
