Ties are a good size for wrapping around the eggs, but any type of silk fabric from your closet or a thrift store would work.

Simmer for longer than 20 minutes if you're going to eat the eggs? That seems like an awfully long time. How hard-cooked does Martha like her eggs? Like marble?

Umm, follow the link... they're for cascarones... you don't hard-boil them. I prefer them scrambled anywho...
