We just thought these were the sweetest napkins. Don't they seem tailor-made for a little summer party? We were completely impressed when we learned that Rachel of Heart of Light made these. She cut up an old tablecloth and make all the napkins and did the embroidery, but she did have one trick up her sleeve.

She used Stitch It kit in order teach herself embroidery techniques. Rachel lightly wrote the word 'eat' on each napkin before embroidering. This project has so many possibilities! Wouldn't it make a great housewarming gift? What word would you trace on the napkins?

I'd go more for dry humor:
slob
messy
crumb
spill
If I was going for nerdy humor, I'd go with

OMNOMNOM
mmmmmm
Or maybe
Let's all have Pi! (and do the greek letter Pi instead of the word)
Hmm, maybe I should make a bunch of that last one for Pi Day favors for next year. That would be fun. Cost Plus sells white buffet napkins for pretty cheap so making bunches would be easy.
Mangia!
I still have napkins and pillow cases I embroidered years ago. Glad to see them back in style.....maybe. The required washing and possible ironing just make them take a back seat to dinner napkins.
"Bon Appetit."
