Who didn't love building forts and tents when they were kids? Here is a do-it-yourself version that doesn't involve stealing the sofa cushions or having to be on the lookout for a corrugated appliance box. And, I think you'll agree, it looks a whole lot nicer, too!
Elka Carl, an editor at CasaSugar, wanted to be able to enjoy a nice summer read while lounging outside without getting scorched by the sun. Her solution was to build this a-frame structure, a nod to old-timey pup tents. With leftover fabric, some wood, an electric screwdriver, and the help of a friend, this project took about half a day to complete.
Of course if you have kids, this will quickly be claimed by them. Imagine the fun they could have with shadow puppets on a warm summer evening.
