I love this project! I love the look of it. I love the idea of it, to "slow down and have some fun, whether you're decorating for Christmas, a birthday celebration, or any old time of the year." I couldn't agree more, and I can't wait to put on some Charlie Brown Christmas music and make one this weekend.
When I was in college, I worked retail during the holidays, and I've never forgotten one conversation I overheard. A customer was sighing to her friend, saying things like, "Well, the tree's done and the cards are done, half of my shopping is done..." like it was all one big chore to get "done". I remember thinking, 'but all of that is supposed to be fun!'
That's why I love to make things around the holidays, whether it's cookies or decorations, it helps to slow down and enjoy why the holidays are a special time. Plus, who wouldn't want to stick balls of wool into pantyhose and spin them around in the dryer? C'mon, that's a good time by any account.
