You can use a wine, spirits or beer bottle for this. Allie of What Allie's Making Now chose a wine bottle. She twisted copper jewelry wire, creating a cage of sorts, from which to safely hang the bottle from. She used copper tubing and a rubber stopper from a science supply store to create feeding end. Or you can buy a pre-made feeding tube and stopper from Best Nest or Amazon.
Allie then used a key ring and threaded it through the crossing of the wires at the original bottom of the bottle and hung it from a chain.
All that's left is to add the homemade hummingbird nectar (1 part sugar to 4 parts boiled water. Don't use food coloring because it could harm the hummingbirds).
