A wine rack can be a very handy kitchen organizer when you have extra bottles to store, but after the party when the wine supply dwindles and you don't have need for a rack, it can take up quite a bit of space, especially if you are dealing with a small apartment and an even smaller kitchen. Enter this foldable wine rack that you can make yourself with these instructions from Laura Parke of the blog A Girl Who Makes.

According to Laura, the materials you will need are:
-2 pieces of birch plywood (15" x 10 1/2")
- 2 small hinges with screws
- Screwdriver
- Neon string (1 yard)
- 3 1/2" Drill bit (these can be pricey, but can be used for multiple projects)
- 1/16" Drill bit
- 150 Grit sandpaper
- Power drill

This is almost exactly like an Ikea wine rack I bought 10 years ago, except that the Ikea one has rounded corners and they only use one wire in the middle to hold the bottom together.
