When I saw this DIY for a big soft plush pillow-style headboard, I was immediately drawn in (and not just by the additional photos of the adorable dog who seem to be enjoying it immensely).
Featured on the site The Brick House, this DIY gives step-by-step instructions for those who want to try their hand at this sewing project that can be done in any material to match your style. Personally, I love the choice of dark grey material that adds warmth to a bedroom with black walls and colorful kilim pillows.

Morgan Satterfield, author of the site The Brick House, explains:
After staying at The Ace a while ago and enjoying the comfort of their cushy headboards, I thought, "hey, I can DIY a big pillow thing for a headboard. Look how warm my head is! Look how my pillow stays in place! This is the answer to all my problems!"

Love it! Reminded me instantly of those canvas military/army travel duffels. If I didn't dislike using a headboard so much I would do this for sure!
Anyone who likes this: before running out and trying yourself, wait for Morgan (the brick house) to run an update on changes that are being made to the headboard. As I understand it, it needed some kind of extra reinforcement to maintain the boxy shape.
I would like this in a home, but never in a hotel. Too many crevices for icky things to hide in.
It's gross.
I think it's a great solution! The pictures on the original website show just how well integrated it is with the other design elements of the room -- gorgeous, and very clever.
And Iggy is just adorable.
Love the ace and their headboards are super cute like yours. It was a comfy down one at the ace with some killer line I think. So cozy. Love the gray.
Love that Little Doggie!!! The headboard isn't all that exciting. But that doggie...!
I would love the kilim textile made into a headboard (and I think the pupkie would prefer it, too!) ;-)
