I first became drawn to animal-themed décor when I moved to a no-pets apartment and found myself bereft of animal companionship. After my husband pointed out that my sizable new collection was getting a little bit 1) expensive and 2) weird, I agreed to put my animal acquisition on hiatus. But then I found this adorable DIY animal pillow project, so I'm coming out of retirement.
Cate from Go Make Me designed these pillows using photo transfer paper and a picture of her own gray bunny for her daughter to take to camp. (The caramel bunny is a stock photo model.) The photo paper works with any picture, which means the potential for picture pillows is nigh without limit. You could use the technique to make pillows of your own pets, favorite Internet memes, or your own face.
I can't be the only one thinking of making a dozen pillows of my own face, with a different expression on each one, can I?
