This project, which Courtney from A Little Glass Box refers to as her "anthro inspired rack", came to fruition as an entry in Young House Love's Pinterest challenge. In case you're not familiar with the challenge, the challenge is to make one thing each season inspired by your boards, or as they like to say, "a welcome slap of stop-pinning-and-start-doing." Pretty motivating, right?
The original picture that inspired the DIY coat rack was a photo of wooden hangers stenciled with clever sayings such as "home is where you hang your coat." Courtney, a former professional organizer, seems to have a thing for wooden hangers, calling this particular type "hangers of wooden goodness" and "little buddies for your clothes". I just love it! And while she envisioned these hangers neatly lining an entryway closet, coming to grips with the fact that she doesn't have said entryway closet forced her to think outside the box and reimagine how she could incorporate these lovely hangers into her decor anyway.
With a little help from her handy husband, this coat rack project was banged out quickly, with very few tools and on the cheap! For more photos and instructions, head over to A Little Glass Box.
