At some point along our personal tech time line, we got rid of paper planners and started exclusively using Google Calendar to keep track of important dates and meetings. It's the perfect system to keep us organized. But we'll admit there's still a few places where tangible calendars will always win over digital in our life. And for those moments, there's key-lendars.
Sometimes we just want to quickly glance to find out what day of the week a date falls on. If you, too, need a quick reference calendar, check out this DIY keyboard key-lendar.
From Instructables user duckcrazy comes a DIY project that up-cycles an old keyboard into geeky-cool file-cabinet- or refrigerator-art that can also help to keep you organized.
Just pop off 31 keys, scratch off the numbers or letters on 'em and re-apply new number labels.
Arrange the numbers 1-28 onto vertical magnet strips (yes, no matter what the month, the days arrange so "1" is on top of "8," "15," and "22") and give 29-31 their own magnets. Then arrange them on the fridge and you've got your very own key-lendar!
