Or parent wash... or dog wash... whatever you use it for, this nifty instructable is a surefire way to beat the heat. All you need to make it is a garden hose, some PVC pipe, and a few other inexpensive odds and ends from your local hardware store.
Says the creator of the Kid Wash:
This project owes a big debt to the original KidWash instructable by discontinuity. When I saw it I knew right away it was going on the "must build" list for summer. A great combination: simple project, lots of fun for the kids!I headed down to the PVC section of the local home improvement store to pick up supplies. While browsing the adjacent sections for interesting stuff I noticed the micro-irrigation section and inspiration struck: KidWash with mister jets!
The modification worked great. We turned it on and kids from up and down the block started showing up to help with the testing. It's a lot of fun on foot, but my kids also get a blast out of riding their bikes through it (just like dad at the carwash).

White Enamel Flatwa...
Isn't this the same as the tricycle/bicycle "car wash" featured a couple weeks ago? Great idea, though. My son would love this!!
I love this idea!
This is so cool! I can see how it would be a big hit with the neighborhood kids.
When I read it, a few of my former students sprang to mind who would LOVE to make something like this.
You print out the instructions from Instructables, and be close by to offer help if they need it, and you'll be helping your kiddo with following written directions, which is a really difficult thing for kids to tackle that they are required to learn from 2nd to 5th grade.
What I love about this project is that it has real-life applications, AND kids would be extremely motivated to flex that brain muscle.
Love, love, love it!
Don't think I stressed enough how important it is for you to stay close by. We don't want our little ones getting hurt with power tools!
This is pretty much identical to the car wash....
and like the car wash I really can't see the merit in it, considering the drought/drier-than-normal periods that so many areas around the world are experiencing.
Apart from the fact that our restrictions are too high for this, I just could not justify this water wastage, even (as someone who obviously lives in a no-water-restriction area suggested in the "car wash" post) if the shower was placed on the grass or near plants. We ripped up our garden, and have drought-resistant plants only. There are just more important things to do with our water.
A shame that AT had to recycle a post so soon after the original. Is content really that scarce?
Well, we loved it. My brother made it for my two year old daughter and made her summer. Thanks, Ohdeedoh.

I love this. I am guessing you could make your own irrigation system by using an old hose. I know there are water shortages but my argument is that all the water goes into the ground to replenish the underwater streams.
