One of my favorite parts of lazy summer days is playing a fun lawn game. We recently acquired a croquet set, and I've been thinking about other games that might be fun to take outdoors. Twister seems perfect: the soft grass cushions any falls, and everyone likes laying around in the yard, right? Try these tutorials to make your own outdoor Twister game.
Katie Haines from You + Me created a Twister board on her lawn for her husband's 40th birthday party. All she used was some spray paint and... well, the grass. Katie used the instructions she found at Sassy Style for creating the whole project, but since the concept for Twister is relatively straightforward, you could add any twists (ahem) of your own.

Is it bad to spray paint your lawn?
They spray paint football and soccer fields all the time.
I think I must do this at my son's next birthday party. :)
This looks so fun! I would be concerned about my grass, so I plan on using spray chalk instead (found in the spay paint isle of most home improvement stores). I believe they use marking chalk on football and soccer fields - not spray paint.
Oh that would be fun! Great idea!
In this photo, they've faithfully replicated the original mat, but why not play with the concept? Six colors! Colors placed randomly instead of in rows! Round layout instead of rectangular! Squares instead of dots! Only one blue dot, right in the middle! The possibilities are endless ...
I sure wouldn't want to be a little insect, sprayed with paint.
