How To: Make a Mason Jar Lantern

We plan on using mason jars at our wedding as vases, but now we'll have something to do with them after we're done. We've blogged before about Alyssa Etting's porcelain mason jar lanterns, but these you can make at home. These pictured above were created by Holly at Chez Beeper Bebe, and she certainly knows how to put together a good tutorial! Holly and her husband "Mr. Beeper" put together these great mason jar lanterns for some (what she refers to as) "instant ambiance in a jar." Her crafty husband was challenged by Holly to create some lanterns and this is what he came up with!

i made several lanterns with those instructions plus some improvisation and love them!

Okay so love the jar lights but need a creative reuse idea for the metal hangers to mount them to the fence... any suggestions

I saw this is a magazine a while back and tried it... I attached them to an old bicycle wheel and use it as a decorative chandelier! (The magazine had them on a wagon wheel.) It's a great look and I get lots of compliments!
