Projects that use up broken crayons are always aces in our book. I found this fun idea to melt crayon shavings and turn it into wrapping paper over at Momtastic and it immediately took me back to first grade. My art teacher let us use safety scissors to shave off pieces of broken crayons onto wax paper. Then with another piece of wax paper on top she would lightly iron it creating a beautiful mosaic.
This melted crayon wrapping paper is essentially the same idea except you use tissue paper instead of wax paper. For full details and photos of how to make your own wrapping paper in time for the holidays, check out Momtastic.
