It's no secret that good storage is essential to living well in a small space. So what do you do if your small space has next to no storage? Build your own, and make it as colourful and multi-functioning as you can!I faced that exact problem when we moved back to our studio apartment. No storage! So I'm on a mission to create as many pieces of multi-use furniture as I can, starting with these DIY modular storage units. They're on castors because I rearrange regularly and it just makes sense. But what I like most is that they are 5 separate units that can be stacked, stored together or separated as required.
These units were made from industrial off cuts and where needed FSC certified wood using nails and glue for assembly, a nail gun when things got tricky and screws for the castor wheels. You can customise the very basic but not to scale design by adding or subtracting shelves, making them long and low or adding your own colours.
