Long-time reader Julia was inspired by the play stores she's seen on Ohdeedoh and now she's paying it forward and banking some inspiration karma by sharing the terrific store she and her husband made for their 3-year-old daughter.
Julia tells us, "My husband built the shelves and crates, and I made the awning using discount fabric and some curtain rods. Everything fits snugly in a little nook in her bedroom. Needless to say, she loves it!"
What child wouldn't love it. And it makes such good use of this little spot that might otherwise go underutilized. We love that this little shop is flexible enough to become any kind of store - an ice cream parlor, toy shop, whatever their little girl imagines.
Thanks Julia!

Awesome! Now I need to go find a little nook somewhere that I can turn into something cool. One questions: how do you get time to make cool stuff when running around after kiddos? I just can't do it! :)
Love it!
What a great idea! I love the green paint color - would you mind sharing the color/paint company with us? Thanks!
My daughter loved playing "restaurant" and this would make a perfect pint-sized counter-service spot or cafe! Awesome work.
My mother made me a shop like this when I was little, I LOVED it.
Thanks for all the kind comments. The paint is Benjamin Moore's "Pear Green".
