Over on Ikea's inspiration blog, Livet Hemma, their Nasum baskets get turned on their sides and stacked together to make easy storage with a rustic-bohemian vibe.
The Nasum line of baskets is handmade from green banana fiber and solid pine. Banana fiber is a waste product that would otherwise be burned as garbage; instead, it has been recycled into sustainable storage baskets in various sizes and shapes.
To create the casual look, a jute band is wrapped around the baskets and stapled (presumably on the sides) to hold them together. A contrasting turquoise cord adds a decorative touch.

With a simple shelving solution like this, you can easily expand or contract the system down the line by adding or removing baskets — and never worry about getting it to look "perfect."

i can see stacking up the square ones, but simply wrapping a jute band around a pile of random baskets is not a good look.
Thank you! I have been looking for a fashionable way to display my collection of yarn balls, firewood, bowling pins and wooden shoes.
AT content is on a serious upswing lately! This is truly ingenius. I think Scoot nailed it on the head.
Like the baskets, not the pile.
@Scoot BAHHAHAH
Um....
lol Scoot. You said it. This is a stupid and ugly idea.
really? this seems to be a perfect storage option so that your Bad Idea Jeans are always at the ready....
Looks like a mess.
I wish we had a "like" feature here, because I would like a bunch of these comment.s
looks like a little kid did it lol
Some people on this site make me eye roll big time. Okay, it's not for everyone. Personally, I could see it coming in handy as a shelving solution in my weirdly-shaped closet (part of it is above stairs so I have a strange slopey section. The round baskets would be so cool in that part! And strapping it together for stability is cool.
Hate the storage idea, love the Patti Smith photo on the wall. :)
To me it doesn't seem like a secure or practical way to create more storage. I appreciate the effort but it doesn't work for me
This looks like something my mom would have cobbled together back in the 70's, after having a couple of bowls.
