The container garden on our back deck has been sadly neglected this year. Last summer, we had beautiful flowers and herbs — this year, for various reasons, I've barely planted a thing. That hasn't stopped me from having friends over — and next time I'm making these gorgeous DIY origami lanterns from Frolic! to add some color and creativity.
The lanterns, created by Banquet Atelier + Workshop, have the charm of fairy lights, but add a creative twist. You can customize them with whatever paper works for your party and table setting — I like the florals, but would also love to try thinly striped paper. And of course, the lanterns would look especially pretty in a lush garden, which may help inspire me for next year!
