We can really see this whimsical pendant hanging in a nursery. Take a closer look and you'll see the shade is covered in hundreds of colorful paper cranes. In fact, this lamp is a DIY version of the Tas-ka paper crane lamp. Check out the original below the jump.

We spotted this over at Sweet Sweet Life the other day and swooned. We imagine the assembly would be rather simple - it's the folding of all the paper cranes that would require some time. Amy of Sweet Sweet Life promises to make her own version so stay tuned!

Cute, but I'd be concerned that the heat from the pendant lamp would make this a fire hazard.
I just blogged about this! And the new issue of Nesting Newbies also had a DIY version. I can't wait to try my own!

Cute, but DUST! Evil dust!! This would look pretty gross after a month or two, unless you're willing to break out the compressed air gun...
Compressed air in a can. Easy.
Love it.
i LOVE this, but yeah, my concerns are the fire hazard aspect too... are there ideas as to what paper to use or what bulb/fixture to cover to keep this a safe shade?
