Before her son was born, mom-to-be Dacia created a nursery that was out of this world. She knew that she wanted a solar system mural for her baby's room, but decals weren't her style. Check out what she came up with.

Instead of painting the planets, she accomplished a unique high impact look with depth and texture. Yes, those are embroidery hoops!

Dacia chose fabrics to coordinate with the color scheme, and other design elements and lines were painted against the dark gray wall (Valspar Semi Sweet). Nine embroidery hoop planets (they kept Pluto) were assembled and hung, and the result is gorgeous and completely uncontrived. The rest of the room is equally beautiful.
