DIY Plant Decor: 5 Modern Plant Stands

In anticipation of spring weather, I have been searching for DIY stands for my growing collection of plants. Here are 5 versions of a classic mid-century planter, all of which would tuck neatly into a corner or next to a window — and all of which you can make yourself.

1. Two-Tier Plant Stand, DIY from A Beautiful Mess: Mandi's collection of houseplants was growing, so she decided it was time for a plant stand that could hold a couple of her favorites. After not finding one she liked within her budget, she decided to make her own.

2. Small Wood Plant Stand, DIY from Hello Lidy: Inspired by Modernica, Lidy and her husband built this wooden plant stand to fit a plant pot they already owned.

3. Low Wooden Plant Stand, DIY from Elise Blaha: Elise wanted to put something in front of her big picture windows. She wanted something that that did not take away from the view, but added some visual interest. She decided on a plant stand that she built using mid-century looking peg legs and wood she found at Lowe's.

4. Plastic Tub Plant Stand, DIY from Retro Renovation: After seeing several planters she liked, Kate decided to make an inexpensive version of her own using a lightweight plastic pot.

5. Wood + Copper Plant Stand, DIY from Our Humble Abode: Amanda and Ben's aloe plant had outgrown their pot. After realizing it would fit perfectly in a 2 gallon bucket, they took inspiration from the plumbing aisle and build a new stand.
