DIY Room Decor: How To Upcycle a Thrift Store Lamp

Looking for a quick project for a kid's room? Here's a thrift store lamp that goes from plain to precious in minutes with some vinyl stickers.

Project Cost: under $25 ($5 lamp $20 shade)

What You Need


Materials

  • Thrift store lamp
  • Lamp shade
  • Vinyl

Tools

  • Silhouette Cameo (or scissors)

Instructions

1. Upload your shapes to the Cameo, or print out.

2. Cut them out onto craft vinyl, or trace onto the back of the vinyl and cut with scissors.

3. Stick them on your thrift store lamp and add a new shade.
