Awhile back we did a roundup of great diy projects using everyone's favorite dippable coating — Plasti-Dip. Tucked away in that post was a great holiday ornament idea. It involves some simple folding, a quick dip in the gooey substance and you'll have made ornaments that are sure to last a lifetime.
Our favorite part about these little white birds isn't their super good looks or the fact that they aren't all that difficult to make. Sure they're pretty to look at and a snap to make, but it's nice knowing that once they're made, they don't have to get packed away with your holiday decor and could stay out all year round.
The Instructables tutorial suggest using this site to get the hang of crafting your birds (although we think more simple designs could also work out well). We think they'd look nice all strung up together, garland style, or even on their own tucked away in your holiday garland. No matter how you use them, they're a great project to keep the look minimal and still be handmade.
Don't forget to drop us a line so we can show it off for you!

cute!!
I love this!
seems like an odd thing to do to a fairly eco-friendly craft.. imo.
Does anyone know where to buy the plastic dip? I tried their online site, but it isn't clear.
LuaBear you can usually find plasti-dip in the paint section of most home improvement stores. I know its right next to the spray paint at my local lowes and home depot.
Ace or Home Depot
My craft crew tried it out see the results here http://fellowcreatives.com/2010/09/16/plasti-dip/
