Checking in at IKEA hacker this morning, we liked the post about a DIY shoe storage solution. The cabinet looks clean and sleek, is a good proportion for the niche next to the closet and can hold 20 pairs.

The reader who submitted the pics, Emily, hung a 36" x 30" kitchen cabinet on the wall, added glass doors with white trim and installed two packs of shelves for maximum shoe storage.

We like how this functions as both a landing strip and shoe storage without visually or physically cluttering up the entry area. Nice job, Emily!
