The season for outdoor entertaining has begun! Are you ready? If you have an outdoor space for entertaining and you're game for a DIY challenge, this project is for you. Having a small bar in your outdoor space will save you from going back and forth from the kitchen topping off drinks, thus allowing you to easily fulfill your hosting duties while channeling your inner Cocktail character.

The advantage of making your own bar is that you can customize it to fit your space and needs perfectly. This bar was made by the handy husband and wife duo of Kristen and Grant from Storefront Life, exclusively for the summer issue of Merry magazine.

This may not be the ideal project for the a DIY rookie, but it's a relatively easy project for someone with a few basic tools and some DIY projects under their belt. The folding leaf detail also makes this a great space-saving piece for when it's not in use.

Kristen and Grant decided to go with a beautiful rich cedar and added many great finishing touches, all while keeping the budget under $200.
