Yesterday we rounded up some round side table options and it inspired us to show you how we made our own bedside tables. Last year when we were looking for simple mirrored bedside tables, we couldn't find ones that we liked or that were reasonably priced. So instead of using the floor to place our alarm clock and lamps, we decided to make our own table with the style we liked and the price we preferred (inexpensive!) See how easy and affordable this project was after the jump.

All in all, we spent about $75 for 2 tables and are really happy with the simple style. If mirrors are not your thing, why not try incorporating lace into an acrylic table? Or you can always try an alternative bedside table, turning the unexpected into something functional.

I like that mirrored table!...It's pretty!
i think i saw this on ikeahacker....did you guys submit this there?
beesknees - yes, same table makeover. We had submitted it to Ikeahacker earlier this year. We wanted to share it with the Apartment Therapy community since it's a simple and affordable idea. -Rebecca
I have one of those tables as well. I sanded and painted the legs and then Mod Podge'd some pages from a book on the top. Cheap and easy!
Rebecca, what glass and mirror shop did you go to? I have a little project that's going to require certain size, unframed mirrors and I have a feeling I'm going to need them custom made.
sparkle - I went to Z & J Glass (www.zandjglass.com) located on Robertson, just a few blocks south of Pico. They are very nice and will work with you on the price. Good luck! -Rebecca
I love this table--it's my bedside table right now too and I'm disappointed if they really don't make it anymore. Some great ideas to make it more interesting. I might check out the mirror option too!
good job. i didn't think you could get a mirror cut for that cheap.
Really neat! Just when I thought I would buy this table for my reading nook, Ikea discontinued it :( Am waiting to find it on Craigslist. I plan to paint it egg yolk yellow, but I think I will now add a mirror too :)
