We’re suckers for all things tiny. And nothing makes us smile like looking at photos of our kids. So you can imagine how tickled we were when we came across this mini Polaroid magnet tutorial. Just look at those miniature, gnome-size snapshots.
Graphic designer Jennifer Kirk, of the blog Ambrosia Girl, put together this clever project after getting inspiration from the equally nifty Pantone paint chip magnet tutorial from How About Orange. Kirk scanned an actual Polaroid frame and scaled her images to 0.8”, printed them, mounted them on chipboard and attached a magnet to the back.
Check out her terrific blog for the complete tutorial along with a downloadable Polaroid frame template.
I'm thinking these would look great composed of family vacation snapshots. And what an ideal way to display photos in an area of limited space, say a home office, or bathroom medicine cabinet.
