DIY Ukulele Kit

If you're putting together your holiday gift list, think about this ukulele kit. We love a DIY kit, part store-bought, part homemade.

This kit comes with almost everything you need to put your four-string ukulele together. You do need to supply your own sandpaper, glue, craft knife and screw driver. The body of the ukulele is made of unfinished wood so your child can paint or decorate it to his liking. It's recommended for kids 8 and up. Get it here for $40.

They sell the same kit from Grizzly for much cheaper--and other instruments as well! I got it for my husband last year and he built it that weekend and has been playing it ever since.
