"Ikea hack" sounds too low down and dirty for how chic and lovely this project is. It's hard to even believe there's a Fjellse bed frame under the finished product. Click through to see this simple wood frame transformed.
When it was time for her daughter, Ainsley, to make the move to a big girl bed, Jennifer Schenk of Organized Design had two requirements. She wanted an upholstered bed that fit her budget. Ainsley had only one requirement. Pink. Not satisfied with what she found available for sale, Jennifer put her interior design skills to work and built the perfect bed around a simple Ikea frame. Pink and upholstered could have so easily turned Barbie overkill, but this bed is stylish and modern thanks to the unique shape and fresh Ikat fabric.
Jennifer put together an awesome, detailed how to at her blog. Be sure to check it out!
