There's something magical about Valentines day, before your older-still-single self begins to loathe it as you sit alone watching reruns of Frasier. The magic of getting a super cool Valentine card from all of your classmates is extra special and these diy crayon cards are no exception.
For Make It Monday, over at The Long Thread, there's the most darling Valentine's Day card we've seen so far this year. We always like things that serve more than one purpose, so these 1-in-1 crayon Valentines wish you a colorful Valentines while including little heart crayons.
You can download two different designs in PDF form over at The Long Thread. Print them out at home and make sure to check out our tutorial on making your own crayon shapes to accompany each card. You'll have a blast and we promise the recipient will too!

this is such a cute idea and I will be trying it out ;)
that's such a simple but wonderful idea! thank you for that!
Adorable! Brilliant!
Hey -- this was my Valentine's Day plan all along! We've made swirly crayons before. Crayolas are the way to go. Also, Target has heart-shaped silicone mold trays in their dollar section right now. I think I paid $2.50 for a pair, but still cheap.
This is a great idea!
I used to make these when I was little. I want to make star-shaped crayons for my son for when he's old enough to start colouring with me.
